The Studio is comprised of designers Jonathan De Pas, Donato D'Urbino and Paolo Lomazzi. The three opened the doors in 1966 with an eye to architecture, urban development, and industrial design. By the next year they had begun playing with the concepts of inflatable and modular furniture. "Joe", the baseball glove chair was produced in 1970 by Poltronova, the same year they designed the Italian Pavilion for the Worlds Fair in Osaka.
The Studio has racked up numerous awards since, and continues to design for Acerbis, Artemide, Cassina, Poltronova and Zanotta. |
