Josef Hoffman
Austrian, born, Josef Hoffman was a brave pioneer of the modern movement. He was prot?g? of Otto Wagner at the Viennese Academy and was one of the founders of the Wiener Werkst?tte in 1903. Hoffman was a designer and architect who embraced the entire project, planning furnishings and interiors for the homes he designed.

Some of his prominent clients were Kolo Moser, Adolph Stoclet, the writer Beer-Hoffman, and the painter Ferdinand Hodler in Geneva. Hoffman was committed to the ideal of keeping simplicity of design ever present, His geometric use of ornamentation and cubist forms remain classic principles in modern design today.
