Josef Hoffmann designed this chair for the cabaret-cum-cafe "Fledermaus" in Vienna which was the meeting point for Viennese artists and architects at the turn of the century.
The designs this group of artists produced paved the way for the subsequent cooperation between industry and avant-garde.
